LANGO SUMMER CAMP 2014

Take a trip to Mexico, France or China this summer without having to fly!  Learn a new language while enjoying aspects of Francophone, Latin or Chinese culture: it's music, art, cuisine and recreation.  Each week ends with a showcase & celebration for parents, friends and family.

Camp Lango is a language immersion day camp for kids ages 3 -10.  We offer 4 weeks in July.  Camp runs from 9am -12 pm with an optional cooking/craft segment Monday - Thursday until 2pm. Every Friday camp ends at noon with a special performance.

Cosmo Welcome: El perro Cosmo greets campers & sings!

9:30–10:15 am

Silly Games:: Charades, Luz Roja, Luz Verde, or Relay Races!

10:15–11 am

Group Craft: Make a sombrero, pinata or maracas for the show!

11–11:45 am

Dramatic Play: Sing, act & dance your favorite songs & stories

11:45–12 pm

Hasta manana! check out for ½ day campers

12:00–12:45pm

Lunch and free play time - for full day campers

12:45–1:15 pm

La Cucina: Time to put on our chef's hat and make tostadas!  Tuesdays & Thursdays we will learn about famous artists from Mexico.

1:15-2:45pm

Scavenger Hunt search for rocks, bugs, leaves, flowers & prizes!

2:45- 3pm

Review the day's vocabulary with one last fun game.  Then Adios! Sing hasta manana and say adios to Cosmo & Maestra!

CAMP CHILE (SPANISH) July 7-11

From the Andes to the Incas, Chile is full of history and culture.  We will learn about the great Incan Empire, make masks and learn about the rich geography of the Andes mountains to the coastline.  It will be a week full of treasure hunts, rich cultural history and art that you won't want to miss! 

CAMP GUATAMALA (SPANISH) July 14-18

From the fabulous Mayan pyramids to the beautiful Carribean we will learn about the rich history and beautiful geography of Guatamala.  From rainforests to volcanoes to the traditional cooking and dress there is much to discover and learn, ending in a celebration with music and dance! 

CAMP VENEZUELA (SPANISH) July 21-24

CAMP ARGENTINA (SPANISH) July 28-August 1 

CAMP MOROCCO (French) - July 7-11

From Casablanca to the Sahara Morocco has a unique culture and an air of mystery.  We will learn veil dances from the Middle East, try delicious foods and hear wonderful music.  Taking a camel trek through the desert we will learn all about the Berber nomadic tribes and learn the French words for everything we find.

CAMP du SUD (FRENCH - Beaches) Week 2 - July 14-18

The South of France has beautiful beaches and cultural traditions influenced by North Africa and Italy. Some of the greatest artists of the 20th century lived here from Matisse to Van Gogh.  We will leave the hustle and bustle of Paris for some relaxation in the lovely lavender fields of Provence and all that Nice, Marseille and Biarritz have to offer: sun, great food and wonderful art!

HALF DAY ONLY: 9am - 12pm $169 per week

CAMP + COOKING:  9am - 2pm Monday - Thursday, 9am-12pm Friday NOW ONLY $249

  • Siblings or friends enrolling together are 10% off
  • Combined discounts may not exceed 20%
CHILDREN MUST BE DROPPED OFF PROMPTLY AT 9am and picked up at 12 or 2.  Late pickups will be charged $1 per minute.

REFUND POLICY:$25 REFUND FEE applies to withdrawals with 10 days or more notice. $50 REFUND FEE applies to withdrawals with 7 days or less notice. NO REFUNDS ONCE CAMP HAS BEGUN.  Camp fees may be used for classes with no refund fee if you must cancel after camp has started.

SCHOLARSHIPS: If you'd like a scholarship, please email Joy@langoredlands.com.  In exchange for a scholarship parents are expected to volunteer at camp.

Full-day Campers bring lunch. Pre-school campers should bring a change of pants for accidents.  Snacks are provided.   All campers must be potty trained.
